On Monday, February 25, 2013 in the press-centre of Triumph Palace of Sports the Professional Basketball League Board session was held. It was attended by the leaders of PBL and VTB United League, as well as the representatives of the PBL clubs. The central matter of the meeting was the re-election of PBL General Director in view of mr. Astakhov's leaving for BC Khimki in the end of January, 2013. By a majority vote mr. Andrey Shirokov was elected as a new PBL General Director.

Within the bounds of Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 week 6 BC Khimki on the road faced ex-team of Zoran Planinic Caja Laboral and scored a confident victory - 83:71. Paul Davis added 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, K.C. Rivers - 16 points and 5 rebounds, Zoran Planinic - 13 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Now BC Khimki has 4-2 record in Group F.

Within the bounds of EuroChallenge BC Krasnye Krylia on the road faced Turkish team Tofas SC and scored victory - 78:70. The Samara squad is still undefeated in the tournament. Andre Smith scored 32 points.

On Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Basketball Center Khimki Moscow Region acting Governor mr. Vorobyov presented new governing body of BC Khimki. Dmitry Golubkov became BC Khimki President, Pavel Astakhov - BC Khimki General Manager. PBL Board Chairman Victor Bychkov will continue working in the club at one of the executive positions.

In the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 game BC Khimki on the road faced Montepaschi Siena (Italy) and suffered defeat with the score 76:82. Rivers added 13 points and 5 rebounds, Loncar - 12 points and 4 rebounds, Monya and Davis - in 11 points each, Planinic - 10 points and 7 assists and became the best Top 16 assistant (7.33 assists per game). It was the first Top 16 defeat for BC Khimki. Now it ranks fourth in group F.

Within the bounds of Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top-16 CSKA Moscow faced Alba Berlin on the road and scored a very confident victory - 75:57. Milos Teodosic added 17 points, Nenad Krstic - 15 points, Victor Khryapa made double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists).

On Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the press centre of Basketball Center Khimki of Moscow Region the Professional Basketball League Board session was held. It was attended by the leaders of PBL and VTB United League, as well as the representatives of the PBL clubs.

On Saturday, September 1, BC Khimki genereal director Viktor Bychkov has been voted the Head of the Board of the Professioanl Basketball League, succeeding Andrey Vatutin at this position.

On Saturday, September 1, the Board meeting of the Professional Basketball League has appointed Pavel Astakhov as the League's General Director for the upcoming season. Astakhov has been in charge of this position after the escape of Ginas Rutkauskas.

On Monday, July 16th the BEKO PBL Board meeting took place. It has discussed the scheme of the upcoming season, appointed general director in charge and approved the agreement with the VTB United League.

BEKO PBL General Director has left his position due to the expiration of his contract. The League's Board thanks Ginas for two years of partnership and wishes him luck in his new projects. The coordinator of the U-21 Championships Pavel Astakhov will take charge until the next Board meeting.

BEKO PBL has named Jonas Kazlauskas the League's coach of 2011/2012 season. The award was presented to the coach by  BEKO PBL General director Ginas Rutkauskas.

BC Triumph’s key player Davon Jefferson has been named the MVP of the BEKO PBL regular season 2011/2012. Also the first and second all-PBL teams have been named.

On Tuesday April 24th the BEKO PBL regular season has finished up. After the games in Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and Moscow the semi-finalists of both 1-4 and 5-8 play-offs became clear.

The meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of European Leagues of Basketball held in Barcelona today has re-elected ACB President Eduardo Portela as President of the ULEB for a four-year term. Adriatic League President Radovan Lorbek and Greek League President Vassilios Oikonomidis are the new Vice Presidents of the Union. The Executive Committee is completed by the Leagues of Belgium, France and Germany. 

On Monday 16th of April during the BEKO PBL Board meeting the representatives of the clubs have approved the concept of the United tournament of BEKO PBL and VTB League, which recently received full support from the Euroleague.  Also the scheme and dates for the current season play-offs were approved. 

On Wednesday March the 14 during BEKO PBL Board meeting Andrey Vatutin was voted to represent the League in the group whcih will control creature of the United tournament. This group will consist of delegates from the Ministry for sport, Russian Basketball Federation and VTB League.

Spartak Saint-Petersburg's point guard Patrick Beverley has been named the MVP of the first round of the BEKO PBL Russian Championships. Torey Thomas, Cuthbert Victor, Davon Jefferson and Viktory Khryapa have completed the best five of the round.

Andrey Vatutin, head of the BEKO PBL Board and vice president of VTB United League has spoken to the media on Friday, January 27. He talked about future changes in Russian basketball and the foundation of Eastern European Professional Basketball League.
