CSKA Moscow has taken 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 BEKO PBL finals series. The Army Men got a great victory 81:62 mainly courtesy of their second unit. Andrei Kirilenko spained his ankle in the 3rd quarter and hasn't played since. Game 2 to take place in Moscow on Thursday.

Lokomotiv-Kuban got on the level terms with Triumph in the the-best-of 5 series for the 3rd place in the BEKO PBL. Lokomotiv won game 2 in Lyubertsy 93:81. The game was very evenly matched in the first half, but then Triumph's tiredness showed up and the visitors took advantage of it. Games 3 and 4 to take place on 18th and 19th of May in Krasnodar.
Krasnye Krylya are 1-0 up over Spartak-Primorie in the best-of-3 series for the 7th place in the BEKO PBL. Games 2 and 3 (if needed) with take place on 18th and 19th in Vladivostok.

Triumph is up 1-0 in the 3rd place series after Monday's 91:86 home win over Lokomotiv-Kuban. The home side had a several runs in this game, but Loko always came back courtesy of KC Rivers' 3-pointers. But the American missed the decisive one with 45 second to go in the game when his side was down by 3. Sergey Karasev made a dunk on the break-away and Triumph got this victory.

It seemed that our team is in control in the third quarter with 19-point advantage but Olympiacos made unbelievable. The opponents get the confidence back and the army men lost the game because of missed free throws in the end. The main title of the season did not go to CSKA.

Krasnye Krylya Samara outscored Spartak Saint Petersburg by 75:67 in the game 2 of the semi-finals for 5-8 places play-offs BEKO PBL Russian Championship. Sergey Bazarevich`s team evened up the score in the series. The third game will be on May 07 in Saint Petersburg.

UNIKS Kazan beat Spartak-Primorye Vladivostok 72:62 in the game 1 of the semi-finals for 5-8 places play-offs BEKO PBL Russian Championship. UNICS is one step away from 5th place finals. The second game will be on May 6 in Vladivostok.

On Tuesday April 24th the BEKO PBL regular season has finished up. After the games in Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and Moscow the semi-finalists of both 1-4 and 5-8 play-offs became clear.
CSKA Moscow outscored Khimki Moscow Region in game for the first place in standings in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship. CSKA won regular season and will play Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar in semifinals 1-4 places play-offs. Khimki will play Triumph Moscow Region.
UNICS Kazan outscored Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar by 101:75 in the last regular season game in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship. UNICS finished in 6th place in standings and will play in 5-8 play-offs with Spartak-Primorye. Lokomotiv-Kuban now waiting for the battle CSKA – Khimki, which will determine their opponent in the semi-final of 1-4 play-offs.
Nizhniy Novgorod has secured 9rd spot in the standings of the BEKO PBL regular season after Spartak Saint Petersburg outscored Enisey Krasnoyarsk by 84:63 away from home in the last regular season game in BEKO PBL Russian Championship. Enisey finished in tenth place in standings.

Spartak-Primorie set a new margin record (+46) after beating Triumph Lyubertsy in the Russian BEKO PBL Championship. Boris Livanov's team will find out its final palce in the standings after game in Kazan between UNCIS and Lokomotiv-Kuban. Triumph meanwhile is waiting for a rival of 1-4 play-offs semi-final, it will be either CSKA or Khimki.
