Spartak Saint-Petersburg's point guard Patrick Beverley has been named the MVP of the first round of the BEKO PBL Russian Championships. Torey Thomas, Cuthbert Victor, Davon Jefferson and Viktory Khryapa have completed the best five of the round.

BEKO PBL board meeting took place in Moscow today, it was attended by managers of all 10 clubs and President of Russian Basketball Federation Aleksander Krasnenkov. The future of possible unification between BEKO PBL and VTB United League has been discussed. General director of VTB United League Andrey Shirokov had been invited, but he refused to attend the meeting having notified the Board with an official letter.

17-years Sergey Karasev won the BEKO PBL MVP Round 25 title. Karasev who is declared as Triumph-2 player in the League scored 34 points with 6 of seven three-pointers and gained the fifth place in the BEKO PBL one game scoring rating. The son of the famous in Russia basketball player Vasily Karasev performed his best skills in the game against Dynamo. His own scoring record was 28 points, which he made in the BEKO U-21 Championship.

The sixth Maciej Lampe double-double, 10 Loko straight home victories and Marcus Williams assisting leadership in the traditional weekly review of the BEKO PBL Champoionship.

Maciej Lampe made a fantastic result in the game against Spartak. UNICS center scored 33 points – his own record in the BEKO PBL – and made 14 rebounds. This and also 1 assist, 1 blocked shot and 2 dunks helped him to gain the BEKO PBL MVP of the Round 24 with 42 rating points.

Neither the game between Loko and UNICS, nor Enisey – Khimki game didn’t affect on the BEKO PBL Round 23 choice. CSKA forward Andrey Vorontsevich gained the Round MVP with 37 rating points he gained in the game against Triumph.

Enisey center Lonnie Baxter won the BEKO PBL MVP of the April Title. Baxter twice won the Round MVP titles in April and still the only player who made it straight. Moreover the American three times took places in the Symbolic fives of 19, 20 and 21 rounds.

Enisey guard Marcus Williams won the BEKO PBL Round 19 MVP Title. The MVP of November and December made a second double-double in the season in the game against Nizhniy Novgorod. Williams scored 25 points, made 11 assists (the best result in Round), 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Also he made only one turnover and 9 times made opponent players to commit fouls on him. His rating is 34.

UNICS and Dynamo centers Maciej Lampe and Alexey Zhukanenko earned the BEKO PBL MVP of March title with 22.3 average rating points each.

Trajan Langdon earned the MVP of the Spalding Three-Pointers Contest. CSKA guard edged Dragan Labovic in the final with one point difference.

BEKO PBL All-Star Game teams head coaches Evgeny Pashutin and Kestutis Kemzura chose last seven players who will participate in the game.

UNICS center Maciej Lampe who was chosen by basketball fans in the BEKO PBL Stars team has performed his best game in the season and won the Round 18 MVP Title. Maciej Lampe scored 29 points to the Loko basket, made 15 rebounds and 4 blocked shots – new League record. His rating is 36.
