In a PBL championship game BC Spartak St Petersburg at home faced BC Enisey from Krasnoyarsk. Starting from the very beginning the guest team took a lead and was ahead practically all the time but in the clutch Spartak managed to break the course of the meering and eventually succeeded - 70:67. So the St Petersburg team for the first time in its history won PBL bronze medals!

In a PBL championship game PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban in Krasnodar played with BC Spartak St Petersburg. Equal game was till the mid-third quarter when the guest team made a big run and eventually won - 61:71. In Loko Brown scored 13 points and 6 rebounds, in BC Spartak Dmitriev and Dragicevic added in 13 points each. So both team tied with 9 wins and 8 losses in the PBL standings.

In a PBL championship game BC Triumph on the road faced BC Spartak St Petersburg and scored a tough victory - 85:82. Vasily Karasev's team took initiative in the second quarter but after a big break Spartak recovered and even took a lead. In the last period Triumph played better and eventually won. In Triumph McKee scored 24 points, Karasev - 23. In BC Spartak Mavrokefalidis added 25 points and 6 rebounds.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2013 three Russian clubs played return Eurocup quarterfinal games. Lokomotiv-Kuban crashed KK Buductnost Voli and will meet with Valencia Basket. UNICS Kazan won but didn't enter play-offs due to the total difference on the sum of two games. Spartak SPb was down in Kiev by Budivelnik and had to say goodbye to Eurocup. So it will be only one Russian representative in the Eurocup play-offs - Loko.

Three Russian clubs took part in Eurocup quarterfinal games. Lokomotiv-Kuban and Spartak St Petersburg scored confident victories and UNICS  Kazan was beaten on the road by Valencia Basket.

In a PBL championship BC Nizhny Novgorod hosted BC Spartak St Petersburg. Till the beginning of the last quarter the fight was equal but the red-white team managed to did its best and score 26 points in 10 minutes that demoralized Nizhny Novgorod (only 7 points). Vladimir Dragicevic succeeded in 26 points and 7 rebounds in a winning team, as for the home one - Artem Yakovenko scored 16 points and 7 rebounds.

On Wednesday, February 20, 2013 Eurocup Last-16 last games were played. Three Russian clubs suffered road defeats: PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar was beaten by Stelmet Zielona Gora, BC Triumph Lyubertsy - by Budivelnik Kiev and BC Spartak St Petersburg - by Cajasol Seville. Despite this fail Loko and Spartak will continue fight for the Eurocup trophy in the quarterfinals. Triumph ended its 2012/2013 European way.

In a VTB United League game (the result takes into accout of PBL championship) BC Krasnye Krylia Samara hosted Spartak St Petersburg and won in a bitter struggle - 75:70.

On Wednesday, February 13, 2013 four Russian teams played their Eurocup Last-16 games. PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar, BC Triumph Lyubertsy and UNICS Kazan scored victories and BC Spartak St Petersburg lost. In fact, three clubs except BC Triumph has already entered Eurocup play-offs.

Within the bounds of VTB United League (the result takes into account of PBL championship) BC Khimki at home faced BC Spartak St Petersburg and scored a confident victory - 72:60. Vitaly Fridzon did his best in 25 points, Paul Davis added 11 points and 6 rebounds. In BC Spartak Zackary Wright scored 17 points.

On Wednesday, January 30, 2013 four Russian clubs played Eurocup games. Lokomotiv-Kuban, Spartak St Petersburg and Triumph Lyubertsy scored home victories and UNICS Kazan was outlasted by Crvena Zvezda on the road.

In PBL championship game Spartak St Petersburg at home played with CSKA Moscow. From the very beginning the guest team took the lead and didn't allow Jure Zdovc's squad to grip initiative. As a result - confident road victory of the Moscow team and first place in PBL standings. In Spartak SPb Mavrokefalidis scored 13 poins, Zavoruev and Carter - 12 points each. In CSKA Krstic added 18 points, Khryapa - 13, Zozulin - 12.

On Wednesday, January 23, 2013 four Russian clubs played Eurocup Last-16 week 3 games. Lokomotiv-Kuban, Spartak St Petersburg and UNICS Kazan had no problems with their opponents and BC Triumph Lyubertsy failed.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2013 four Russian clubs competed in Eurocup Last-16 week 2 games. All squads played at home. Spartak St Petersburg confidently defeated Cajasol Seville, Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar swat away Stelmet Zielona Gora. As for BC Triumph Lyubertsy it lost to BC Budivelnik Kiev and UNICS Kazan was defeated by Ratiopharm Ulm.

On Sunday, January 13, 2013 BC Spartak St Petersburg at home faced UNICS Kazan. The game was held within the bounds of VTB United League (the result takes into account of PBL championship). The Jure Zdovc team confidently won - 84:68. Joshua Carter scored 16 points, Zakhary Wright - 15 points ans 7 rebounds. In UNICS Nikita Shabalkin added 22 points, Charles Eidson - 14 points.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2013 four Russia clubs played Eurocup Last-16 games. UNICS Kazan defeated Galatasaray Medical Park, Lokomotiv-Kuban swat away BC Spartak St Petersburg and BC Triumph Lyubertsy was crashed by KK Buducnost Voli.

On December 23, 2012 BC Spartak St Petersburg within the bounds of PBL championship at home faced BC Nizhniy Novgorod. Games between this opponents are always close and interesting. Now everything was decided in the very end of the match: Joshua Carter's triple practically with the buzzer led the home team to a victory. Mavrokefalides scored 11 points, Beverley and Carter - 10 points each in BC Spartak, in Nizhniy Novgorod Brezec added 20 points, Thompson - 15 points and Antonov - 12 points.

On Wednesday, December 19, 2012 within the bounds of PBL championship BC Spartak-Primorye hosted BC Spartak St Petersburg and lost with the score 60:77. From the beginning of the meeting the Jure Zdovc's team took the lead and didn't allow the opponent to make a comeback. Even in the third quarter when the gap between the teams was only 3 points. So the overall success was at the side of BC Spartak St Petersburg. Patrick Beverley scored 14 points, Vladimir Dragicevic - 12, in Spartak-Primorye Troy Gillenwater added 19 points and 7 rebounds, Artem Zabelin - 14 points. 

On Wednesday, December 12, 2012 Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar, UNICS Kazan, Spartak St Petersburg and BC Triumph Lyubertsy played on the road last Eurocup regular season games and all scored victories. Loko beat Trefl Sopot, UNICS swat away Telenet Oostende, Spartal swept out Cholet Basket and BC Triumph in the extra time overcame Artland Dragons. Eventually all Russian clubs entered Eurocup Last 16.

On Wednesday, December 5, 2012 five Russian clubs competed in European cups. BC Triumph and BC Spartak St Petersburg scored confident victories within the bounds of Eurocup, BC Krasnye Krylia - in EuroChallenge. As for UNICS Kazan and PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban, they suddenly were defeated at home by the teams from Poland and Ukraine accordingly.

On November 28, 2012 five Russian clubs played another games in European cups. BC Triumph Lyubertsy, UNICS Kazan and BC Spartak St Petersburg won their Eurocup matches, BC Krasnye Krylia succeeded in EuroChallenge. Unfortunately PBC Lokomotuv-Kuban was swat away in the road by Galatasaray Medical Park.

In the PBL Championship game, held in Lyubertsy on Sunday, November 25, 2012 BC Triumph hosted BC Spartak St Petersburg and won in a bitter struggle. The decisive throw was done by Sergey Karasev before 0.2 seconds to the buzzer. Karasev turned to be the best scorer of the match: 18 points. Now Triumph has 3 wins and 3 losses in PBL standings and ranks at six place. Spartak has a 4-3 record and occupies fifth place.

On November 21, 2012 four Russian clubs played Eurocup regular season week 3 games and succeeded. Spartak St Petersburg swat away Ratiopharm Ulm, PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban destroyed Galatasaray Medical Park, UNICS Kazan on the road defeated Panionios BC Athens and BC Triumph Lyubertsy left no chances to VEF Riga.

Within the bounds of VTB United League (the result of the game takes into account of PBL championship) Spartak St Petersburg at its home court in the overtime suffered a painful defeat from BC Krasnye Krylia Samara. Its was the first defeat for Jure Zdovc's team and seventh in a row victory for Sergey Bazarevich's squad. Chester Simmons added 22 points and 7 rebounds, Jeremiah Massey - 14 points and 6 rebounds.

On November 14, 2012 five Russian clubs participated in European Cups' games: Lokomotiv-Kuban, UNICS Kazan, Spartak St Petersburg and Triumph Lyubertsy - in Eurocup, BC Krasnye Krylia Samara - in EuroChallenge. All of them made great strides toward next steps of the tournaments: Loko beat Trefl Sopot, UNICS was better than Telenet Oostende, Spartak defeated Cholet Basket, Triumph succeeded in the overtime vs Artland Dragons and Krasnye Krylia won over CSU Asesoft Ploiesti.

In an intense duel of basic rivals CSKA Moscow became stronger and eventually scored the second victory in the PBL championship. 78:68 - CSKA wins the game.

Spartak St.-Petersburg beats Khimki Moscow Region 74:69 in the regular season of VTB United League, the result of which also goes to the credit of the regular Russian Championship BEKO PBL. This is the fourth victory of a St.-Petersburg`s team that has no unbeaten in the BEKO PBL.

Spartak Saint Petersburg outscored Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar 74:70 in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship.

Spartak St.-Petersburg beats away UNICS Kazan 52:51 in the regular season of VTB United League, the result of which also goes to the credit of the regular Russian Championship BEKO PBL. It was the second losses Aco Petrovic`s team in the BEKO PBL.

On Saturday, September 1, BC Khimki genereal director Viktor Bychkov has been voted the Head of the Board of the Professioanl Basketball League, succeeding Andrey Vatutin at this position.

On Monday, July 16th the BEKO PBL Board meeting took place. It has discussed the scheme of the upcoming season, appointed general director in charge and approved the agreement with the VTB United League.

UNICS secured their second win over Spartak at home 73:62, winning the 5th place series.  

UNICS took 1-0 series lead over Spartak for the 5th place with 81:75 win. Game 2 will take place in Kazan on the 19th of May.

The Saint Petersburg team will face UNICS Kazan for 5th place after they beat Krasny Krlya in Game 3 of their semi-final series at home. Spartak survived a late scare to take this vital win.

Krasnye Krylya Samara outscored Spartak Saint Petersburg by 75:67 in the game 2 of the semi-finals for 5-8 places play-offs BEKO PBL Russian Championship. Sergey Bazarevich`s team evened up the score in the series. The third game will be on May 07 in Saint Petersburg.

Spartak took a 1-0 series lead over Krasnye Krylya in the semi-finals for the 5th spot in the BEKO PBL. Patrick Beverley gave his team a victory with a buzzer-beater. The series now moves to Samara with game 2 taking place on May the 3rd.

BC Triumph’s key player Davon Jefferson has been named the MVP of the BEKO PBL regular season 2011/2012. Also the first and second all-PBL teams have been named.

On Tuesday April 24th the BEKO PBL regular season has finished up. After the games in Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and Moscow the semi-finalists of both 1-4 and 5-8 play-offs became clear.

Nizhniy Novgorod has secured 9rd spot in the standings of the BEKO PBL regular season after Spartak Saint Petersburg outscored Enisey Krasnoyarsk by 84:63 away from home in the last regular season game in BEKO PBL Russian Championship. Enisey finished in tenth place in standings.

On Monday 16th of April during the BEKO PBL Board meeting the representatives of the clubs have approved the concept of the United tournament of BEKO PBL and VTB League, which recently received full support from the Euroleague.  Also the scheme and dates for the current season play-offs were approved. 

The 2011-12 Eurocup champion is BC Khimki, which held off Valencia Basket 77-68 in a thrilling finale. Khimki won for the first time and will play in the 2012-13 Euroleague. Zoran Planinic scored 19 and was named Finals MVP.

Triumph Moscow Region outscored Spartak Saint Petersburg by 82:73 in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship. Spartak and Krasnye Krylya lost all chances to play in the 1-4 places play-offs, as well as UNICS Kazan. Spartak-Primorye, however, hasn't lost a chance to play for the medals.

CSKA Moscow outscored Spartak Saint Petersburg away from home by 88:78 and won tenth straight game in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship. Spartak though has not lost chance for 1th-4th places play-offs yet.

Spartak Saint Petersburg outscored Krasnye Krylya by 86:63 in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship and has got into the fourth place in standings.

Spartak has gained big victory over UNICS Kazan with a 24-point margin. So Jurij Zdovc's team now has advantage over UNCIS in the regular BEKO PBL Russian Championship.

Spartak Saint Petersburg outscored Nizhny Novgorod by 82:79 in the BEKO PBL Russian Championship. After this win Jurij Zdovc still has a chance to get into the play-offs.

On Wednesday March the 14 during BEKO PBL Board meeting Andrey Vatutin was voted to represent the League in the group whcih will control creature of the United tournament. This group will consist of delegates from the Ministry for sport, Russian Basketball Federation and VTB League.

Spartak has made its chances to reach the semis of the BEKO PBL Russian championship very slim after losing to Lokomotiv-Kuban at home. The hosts had a big 4-point advantage going into the big break, but looke exhausted after it and let the lead slip. Loko's captain Sergey Bykov took over and brought a vital win to his side.

Khimki held Patrick Beverley to 0 points on his home court, and beat Spartak in Saint Petersburg. The game was evenly-matched and appeared to be a very low-scoring affair, but Khimki came up strongest despite having been outrebounded 37-22.
